Cheap Chic California Necklace

Represent!I had to get this necklace. If some of you didn't know I am originally from Southern California. Born and raised there. I ended up moving to North Carolina a couple years ago because my father and Lil sister where here and I fell in love with the beach and forest. When I first saw this necklace it completely made me feel at home I loved that it is layered too. For $5.90 it's ridiculously cheap!

DIY Shell Jewerly Branch Holder

Here is my infamous Tree Branch Shell jewerly holder. I have made a few of these over the years and have always loved crafting them. I have made some for friends for their birthdays and they have really loved them as a present. I still have request to fill! They are simple and fun to make and recommend trying ;)
What you need:
2 manzanita tree branches. (I buy them from Blooms and Branches)
Pot or Vase
Plaster of Paris (you can find this at Lowes or Home Depot)
Shells
Moss
Rocks
Hot glue gun or craft glue
What to do:
Mix plaster of paris and fill pot with it. Stick the two manzanita tree branches in the plaster of paris the way you would like them to stand. I sometimes will put small sticks next to the bottom of the manzanita and plaster of paris to make it stand better. Wait til the plaster of paris dries. Once the plaster of paris dries you can start gluing the shells, moss and rock to your arrangements. There are endless ways to design these. I have also made some with larger shells upside down and glue them to the branches, this way you can have loose jewerly you can just throw in the shell. You can paint the branches with gold or even a coral color to make it look real coastal. This also doesn't have to be a jewerly holder, it can just be a display in your house or you can hang seaglass. The ideas are endless! Hope you all try it. You will love it!!

Beach and Crochet

If your not barefoot then your overdressed-Anonymous

I love the beach. When I even think about being at the beach my heart relaxes. Such an amazing place to be at. The sound of the ocean or being barefoot on the sand and salty water touching my toes. Beautiful shells washed up on the shore. It is the best therapy I could wish for and it is right in front of me free as a bird.

Estate Sales

My husband and I are the estate sale king and queen. We love them. We go every weekend. Anything old or antique I tend to like a lot more then new things because they are made well. Whether it is jewerly, furniture or even my husband fishing reels. I posted some pictures of some jewerly we have found that I love. The first one my mother-in-law found when she went with my husband. She had it checked at a jeweler and it is a white gold 1 carat tanzanite with 30 diamonds. It's gorgeous. The second picture I still need to bring to a jewerly but they actually still had a tag on them that said they were 1 carat. I'll have to get them checked soon. The last two pictures are earrings I found. I call them my peacock earrings. They are super heavy but I love them.
